Good Morning Switzerland...

It was dark when we reached Sarnen last night, so no pictures then. Woke up and looked out of the window to the sight of the early morning 'rush' hour, Sarnen style...

This was about 7.30am. The sun hadn't quite made it over the mountaintops just yet.

The town appears to be in a valley, with the mountains behind. Very pretty. Here's a zoomed view.

We went for a walk after breakfast, and had a look around this enchanting little town. Here's some pictures:-

And here's the hotel itself...

We left about 10.30 for Italy, which meant driving up into the Alps...

We also had to go over the Gotthard Pass, something I was convinced little Red Fred Fiesta would never manage, with that altitude, steep climbs (all our luggage in the back), and switchbacks, but cope he did! Here he is, proudly at the top!

Some other shots of the Pass...

From there, on into Italy, where the motorways are chaos and the drivers all mad!
